NMAP question

Thread Starter
Not sure if anyone can help with this, but I have to give it a try.

I'm using NMAP to scan thousands of subnets. Currently I have a hostfile with about 900 subnets listed. The subnets are listed with the slash notation ex. 192.168.1.0/24.

My question is, is NMAP smart enough not to scan the network and broadcast addresses?

you answered your own question

192.168.1.0 IS a network address. so +1 -1 to all of the log entrys should be the valid subnet addresses.
