good thing, cause a c2d will outbench and outgame you, but AMD's chips are .....ok

There is little info on the OCability of the 690 and 780 chip sets so I have no idea as to where they stand other than the afore mentioned M2A-VM.

If the 780G is anything like the 770 on the ATX boards which was a bit finiky and actually slow to boot, it OCed well but not as well as some previous chip sets.

The Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-S2H seems to have a very robust BIOS, seep page 4&5
http://www.ocworkbench.com/2008/giga...8GM-S2H/g1.htm
They were able top get 3.4 from a 5000+ BE so it sure seems like a good OCer.

I'd recommend an Intel Mobo and an Intel CPU for better overclocking.

i wasnt asking about price/performance... i wanted to know what MOBO performed the best that was MIRCO ATX....

i am getting the AMD with the most ass out there and its as simple as the phenom.. so unless something that AMD makes in desktop can push more power... im all for it.. but every bit of research says the phenom is under the 6600... barly... and price/performance the phenom wins out simply because of the mobos.. u intel people pay more for the mobo then the chip... its just not right... somebodys gettin screwed.. and it aint the manu's

Thats a sad truth but I am a fanboy to no-one and wish AMD/ATI the best. Their lack of competition would only hurt us as consumers. With 3 939 builds still chugging fine I can vouch for their reliability. I hope my new q6600 can perform as well (performance difference aside). Good luck on your build. On a side note the only thing that kept me from the phenom was the bug. I may yet build one once the fixed revisions are out.
