well just to make matters that little touch worse iv got rid of AVg and switched over to Avast like pioneerisloud suggested and yer looks lot better and doesnt use as much memory or system res thats for sure so much better an to prove its gotta be better at looking for virus i did the boot scan like it askes to do when first installed it and rebooted it to finish the install it found 4 more nasty little buggers hideing inside my add on drive which i scan every few days with AVG so this new virus scanner found what AVG couldnt but again im sure if you tryed another differnet virus program maybe not a free one then would find things thats this progra mdidnt but im thinking i need to do a total reinstall so im makeing sure ive got all my drivers at hand on add on drive for my whole driver system and add on cards and all my software to hand with out haveing to install old programs then the updated versions over the top of them which i dotn like doing it this way as dont feel its installed as neatly and as clutter free as possible for me...

its been a bit slow and gettign fat with rubbish again plus had a few differnent driver probs this time around with a new sound card nothing big but think needs a good fresh start..

so here it goes 2 hours missing of my life doing yet another refresh of my OS dam u vista dam u....

Same thing happened to me. Everytime I open it AVG says "Virus Found" and faults it.

I just had this problem last night. I was running the free version of AVG and downloaded CPU-Z from cpuid.com. I uninstalled AVG and I was able to extract it.

that is because you were not running any av you would have been able to do that with any other software regardless if it was infected or not
