You're not allowed to talk anymore.

On that same note you all knew that this card was using the G92/G94 chip so what did you expect? lol

Why didn't they just come straight out with a 9 series in the summer that was beast? They could have finished the G92 refresh by making a G92 GTX/Ultra (essentially what they've done with the 9-series now) and then release an ACTUAL upgrade in the summer.

Though I'm sure there will be a 9900GTX or something within no time that will be much better than the current. Could be a die shrink like 7800=>7900 or something like that. I just wish G100 would hit already. It better be huge.

ATi and nVidia are moving *way* too fast without adequate improvements. I mean ATi went from the X19xx series to the HD3xxx in about 9 months, and the HD2900 to HD3870 offered ZERO performance improvement. nVidia did the same essentially by using the G92--an 88xx series chip--in their new flagship of 9xxx series cards, and there seems to be NO improvement whatsoever (though we don't have a guaranteed-reliable bench of the 9800 yet).

What happened to the days where generation gaps yielded exciting and worthwhile performance leaps instead of just "the newest product?" nVidia's 7800GTX was amazing when it debuted, as was their 7900GTX, and then the 8800GTX doubled even that with ease. ATi's X1900XTX TRUMPED the previous 9xxx gen cards, and then the HD2900 (after driver maturation) yielded almost double the previous flagship X1950 numbers.

But now, the generation changes are just part numbers and seemingly less indicative of their actual performance.
