Overclock 4400+ with a8n5x??

Thread Starter
Hello,

I just bought a 4400+ Toledo processor and i want to OC it. I read some articles and read this topic: http://www.overclock.net/amd-cpus/68...overclock.html

Some of you gave specs over how to quickly overclock it like this one:
260 x 10
HTT x 3 or 4......try 4 first
Vcore (cpu voltage) 1.55
Memory timings default 2-3-2-5 1T
Memory voltage 2.7
Memory divider 333 (166)

But i cant seem to find these specs on my mobo.... can someone tell me excactly what to do to overclock it?
Im running it now on 2.2 stock + cooler

Idle: 35 degrees
Fully loaded:49 degrees with super pi

Thank you very much!

Try this first.
Go into the BIOS and poke around ever where to get to know where everything is, then just "Do Not Save" and exit until you know what to change. Getting familiar with the options in the BIOS will be very helpful.

anything that says AUTO has to be changed to MANUAL in order to oc

So far, The Duke's advice is the best.

Investigate your BIOS, preferably with a printout of one of the myriad online guides to OCing an A64 system (S939) and your motherboard's user's manual. This guide is one of my personal favorites.

What you'll surely find is that BIOS terminology is not standardized. It's like opening the hood of your car; every car's got an engine, but to know what you've got you have to have a good look and understand what it is you're looking at.

Walk before you run, and crawl before you walk.

I overclocked it by 10% with the AI option in the mobo.
What bothers me is when i open nvidia monitorview it says that he cpu is on 1.55V
isnt that to high?

Btw here is the screenshot of CPUZ and Nvidia monitor view:

Does anyone know a good config to OC it to 2.6ghz?

Oh yea, i forgot to mention that when the cpu is fully loaded the temp. will raise to 54 degrees.

And when you look at my pic, you see that the CPU score, HT link, memory and the CPU voltage are marked with red and that indicates trouble.... so am i in trouble ?
I think that for socket 939, you want to keep your HT link at 1000 or less. And there is a big difference in vcore readings.... CPU-Z at 1.296 and MonitorView at 1.550.... what are you set at in the BIOS? Also, if you're going to OC much, you should look at getting an aftermarket cooler for your CPU.
