like for example i had a spare ac adaptor for my 9300. and i sold it for 25 bucks. this poor guy got ripped off on criagslist he trade some tools for this dell xps gen 2. it had no ram. video card was shot was artifacting all over the place. so i trade my spare 6800 go for some windows xp pro disc and offic disc and 50 bucks. and the computer works great now! i just wish i bought that xps off him. so i can take that cpu and put mine in it. then sell the xps on ebay.
That shroud is critical IMO. I remember situations where we'd merely not clip the shroud down properly and the systems (Dell 2400's) would shut down because they were getting too hot. I'd buy an aftermarket HSF for it.

I would take some small zip ties and attach an 80mm to the heatsink blowing to the rear of the case. IMO that would do the trick.

Fantastic! Free is free...you can't go wrong. My girlfriends college was selling "old" computers for $10 a pop. I was going to get the 3 remaining and when I went there the guy goes "just take them". Soooo I got 3 almost working P4 boxes for free. One needed a power supply, 2 needed hard drives.

My moms work they were throwing out a decent laptop just because the battery burned out. I took it home and got a new battery for like $40 and sold the laptop for $250.
