Smash Bros Brawl?

Thread Starter
I'm asking questions about video games and what people are expecting because, well, it's important. I'm a person who likes to make reviews of video games, but I enjoy other people's input. It's everyone's opinion that matters. So...as the title states...all the hype now has been the Super Smash Brothers Brawl. The local Game Stop by me has people camping out already. Anyone think it's defintiely worth getting...also getting the Wii for it, if you don't have it already?

I picked up brawl yesterday and it's not too bad. It's slower than Melee and some moves are dumbed down, but it could be a good thing. It's worth it if you've never played a SSB game before and even if you have it's a great title. Online has yet to work for me, although I think that's probably because of overloaded servers on launch day xD

When i first started playing i noticed right away that it was slower and that screwed me up big time. I also tried playing with the wiimote, and while it is possible to play that way, i'm going to stick with my wavebird.

Yeah I think that was the big thing at first, as soon as I unlocked marth I was all over him, and then I played a match and got destroyed because everything was 10 milliseconds slower. It's not noticeable when you're watching a video of it but when you play you really feel it. I'm not looking forward to retraining my muscle memory lol.

Im not so sure about it being slower cus i never realy played melee and its been a long time since I played the original but with the Cube controller I find its alot easier to attack and stuff. All 3 attacks are right there. You just have to move the C button for a smash attack. But I find my self always wanting to pick up my Xbox 360 controler and start using it lol cus its so nice.

I also dont understand why people are lining up for it I mean I whent to futureshop yesterday and there were like 50 copies on a stand at the door. It was the same for Halo 3. You expect games like this to be all sold out but so do the companies so they ship like millions of copies so everyone gets one. The only games that are ever sold out are the ones that are new and people the companies dont expect to be a hit like Gears of War. I remember trying to find a copy for 2 weeks lol when it first came out.

I did the same thing, I found that meta knight and pit play a lot closer to the old marth than the new one. they don't do as much damage and they don't have the glorious smash that marth had but they aren't too bad.

I want my charged slash back too (with marth), that stab just isn't as cool.

pit is from kid icarus, its an old NES game. and yes i like him. has a massive recovery, and some cheap moves. I think that he will become the new marth a really easy character to start off with, but takes a lot of skill to be really good with.

I like Wario. He may be a bit slow and maybe just a casual play character, but his motorcyle is funny and he has great smashes. Wario and Zelda are my favorites because they are both very strong.
