Where DiD My Speed Go???????? - Page 3

I think there are three possibilities:

1. Someone is jacking your wireless connection. If I had a neighbor with those speeds and he didn't know what torrents were, I'd jack him too!

2. It's your router. I know the one Verizon gave me for FiOS is pretty crappy. Something about the memory being too small to handle the IP table. If I torrent, all other connections go to borderline dialup speeds. And it's not Verizon throttling my connection, because the torrent speeds never goes down.

3. You were getting lucky by being one of the first people on that line. I believe with cable, you share bandwidth with others in your area. As more people get Comcast in your area, your speeds will gradually go down.

Whatever the case, I'd say your days of paying $49.99/month for those speeds are numbered.

well we live in a brand new townhome community, and actualy almost everyone here has dish network, or qwest dish, not too many people with comcast, prolly cause its expensive lol but hey my speeds have been like this for almost 2 years since we moved in so im happy so far lol
