Can I use swap my hdds if I get a PCI card with the same controller?

I had a crash with my DFI. It has an intel ICH9R raid controller. If I can't get it working, could I get a PCI RAID controller with the same Intel controller to access my drives? I am not sure if it is fried or if I can even find a PCI card with the same one just curious if it is the worst case scenario.

yes if you could find a pci controllor using ICH9R if not you could use any board with ICH9R which includes all raid capable P35 and X38 boards

The only other P35 I have is DS3L. Should have gotten the R, Well, I still think there is a chance the the DFI isn't dead. I only tried a few CMOS resets this morning and then had to go to work.

Well, when I first got the mobo, I hooked everything up and it worked for a day or two, then my GFX card failed. When I got the RMA'd card, I hooked it up, but windows wouldn't boot from the drives, it said the OS was corrupt. I tried a repair install, but it just froze.

I forgot all about it until now, but that makes me wary. What are the chances of the GFX card going and then the mobo with similar results to the OS. I really hope it isn't the mobo. I finally got all my drivers, apps. and games installed. Ever time I keep telling myself to make a back-up dvd. I do not look forward to installing 3dmark and such all over again. maybe I was smart an saved it all on my 400gb hdd.
