Enough thermal paste!?

Thread Starter
Hey guys,
I'm as you read this installing my Tuniq tower, but I'm not sure about the thermal paste... Is this enough, or too little? It's barely a seethrough layer

Its pretty good. Just take a napkin and put it directly over the cpu. Dont move it around. Apply a bit of pressure, then take it off.
You're not supposed to spread it out.....apply a thin line along the line between your CPUs (vertically in Intel Dual cores IIRC) and then twist the heatsink back and forth to force the air bubbles out.

Clean that off with some alcohol and just use a very little bit in the center, if you use the line method, make sure it is very thin. Allow the cooler to spread the TIM.

I think thats only for AS5, he might be using something else. All pastes are different and require different methods to apply them.

Well any sort of micronized silver will be the same......but it looks like AS5 to me. The point of that method is to get the air bubbles out.
