What's the cheapest board that supports E8400

It doesn't need to Overclock, just needs to support E8400 out of the box. I can't do a BIOS update since the E8400 is my only CPU.

I don't know what's the cheapest board to support e8400 but $60 Abit IP35-E with updated BIOS is worthy to take a look. I know you don't want to update BIOS. At $60, it is a P35 board and good for backup. Also, you can take a look at some cheap 945,965 or P31 boards but requires new BIOS.

Thanks linskindom, I was looking at that one last night, but nearly $100 shipped before rebate kinda killed it for me. I'm currently waiting on 5 different rebates. I didn't want to add to that list if I didn't have to.

But I am keeping that board in mind.

In the OP, it clearly states that he can't do a BIOS update.

Wouldn't it be cheaper to find a used CPU? You should be able to find a celly or something for $25-$30 I would think.

I wish I could use a Celeron in this mobo, I would be on it.

One of my boards is an XFX 680i LT. I did the BIOS update necessary to support my E8400 with it already installed in the machine.
