Best Thermal Paste? - Page 3

Though Arctic Silver 5 may not be the absolute best, I do love the way it is easy to spread out. I've only used Tuniq TX-2 otherwise tho, so there probably is a paste that spreads as nice as AS5.
WC ftw!

AS5 for ease or shin etsu X23 if you need that extra couple of C and have the time to get it right

Depends on which Shin Etsu. Make sure you guys are talking about the correct one. Some are worse and some are better.

Here's a review testing 33 different TIMs (on a very modern test rig), including 3 different types of Shin Etsu. Again, some are better than others:

I vote for MX-2 also. I love it because:
  1. There's no break in time; it's ready instantly
  2. It's non-conductive
  3. It works almost as good, if not better than AS5

AC MX-2. Hands down.

But there's nothing wrong with AS5 or Ceramique

All I use is AS5 but I have heard from many people that the new Shin Etsu blows it away.

AS5 = old news. IC7 and OCZ Freeze FTW IMO.

I say coollabs liquid pro. at least as far as cooling ability. liquid metal that spreads easily and fills gaps very good. actually kind of seeps into the metal bonding to it.

downside though is you have to be carefull though as it is conductive and feels like playing with mercury.

..in addition to getting stuck with the syringe and getting injected with that stuff. Did you see what Wolverine did to Lady Deathstrike in X-Men 2?
