I want to drop kick this mobo across my basement - Page 2

Nobody answering this thread (including me) has any idea what the return policy is on your board with Newegg. They are all different and they change at different times depending on how many RMAs they have on a specific board.

So, maybe your board had their standard return policy. Or, maybe it had their 30 day return policy. NONE OF US KNOW! And it doesn't matter what their website says now. It matters what it said when you bought the board.

Call them because we don't have a clue!!

well it depends really..

has it been past 30 days since purchase from newegg?
besides the ram clip is there any other physical damage? you said something about the cpu fan header?

if past 30 days from purchase you cannot rma back to newegg. therefore you must rma to dfi.

dfi says taht on their site so they dont have to handle all the rma's but we(the consumer) usually always send to straight to dfi

unless your trying to get your money back.

That is absolutely untrue. Read my post above yours.

The standard newegg return will let you rma within a year. But as I said we have no frigging clue which return policy his board had when he bought it. So everyone stop trying to get reps by speculating about **** they don't have a clue about.

first off. no one is trying to get reps.. we are trying to help that is all, so stop being rude as hell dude.

second, newegg only offers a 30 day money back rma.
the standard replacement warranty is 1 year but you cannot return it for money, only a replacement.

but yes, OP call newegg and se if you can rma for money back or exchange for same or different board.

if they only allow for a same board exchange you might as well rma with dfi as they will be somewhat quicker half the time.

Ok, Ok, I didn't want to start a war or stir anyone's feelings about this (except mine). I prolly shouldn't have posted this, but I was more wondering if anyone has been through anything like this before. Opinions are cool, as long as we can keep it on the DL.

I purchased this board on 2-1-08, and I know it's too late to get a refund. So I have opted to return for a new board. It clearly states that I can return for replacement within 1 year.

But that was before I broke the RAM latch. The CPU header latchy thing broke on day one, but I doubt anyone will notice that and even if they do, I don't thein they will refuse an RMA because of that. But the RAM Latch added to that may make it difficult....
