having trouble finding a 2x2 pair of 8500 memory, i have been told having 4 sticks isnt exactly good

I have never had any issues with four sticks of RAM. The only thing it hampers is upgrading in the future, but my board can only handle 4GB, so it doesn't matter anyway.

Newegg used to have ddr2 1000 4GB for $99. Now it is $120 :-(
I personally was going to buy 8GB of ddr2 1000 instead of 4GB 1066, but now the difference is only 20 bucks per 4GB :-(
