134a refrigerant is quite legal in the states, it is used in most cars air conditioning. R12 refrigerant however you need permits for. something that older air conditioning systems used works really good too, lol, its still available though.

whats my point may ask, its all called freon by many people.

any average joe can go to the local store and usually find a bottle of 134a to buy if they wanted. wal-mart sells it, napa sells it, heck the local grocery store here sells it. I guess its something everyone can enjoy.

This isn't water cooling, its refrigeration. Those bends are fine, so I have no idea WTH you are even getting at.

Looks like they used a Rotary Compressor to cut down on size a bit. That its a very small rotary aswell.

One thing that nobody has pointed out, is the obvious lack of insulation to prevent condensation.

Most junkyards drain(they're supposed to anyways) all the fluids out of a vehicle before they put it out it the scrapheap.

This honestly doesn't look like a good phase change system. more or less it looks like they tried to combine the simplicity of a water-cooling system w/ the effectiveness of a phase change system and came up somewhere inbetween, but closer to fail

also, as many have said that pic doesn't match the article. that's no doubt a asus LGA775 board. Must be old prototype pics or something...

Me neither.

$10 says the pipes in the picture are just empty, and only the fans have power.
