Thread Starter
I must be the only one who went for the E8200 ha. ok .
got it stable at 3.8
next step is stable at 3.9 not having much luck heres the settings iv been running to try to but to no avail.

Cpu 1.37
Ram 2.2
NB 1.43
Cpu VTT 1.275
SB + CPU 1.50

fsb 490x8
ram divider 1.2
ram 981mhz

mem timing
5-5-5-14

any suggestions.

i have cut the core volts back to 1.35 and cpu to 3.8 until i can get it stable .
and heat is not a problem max reading with core temp i have had is 51c that was at the unstable 3.9.

thanks guys.

woah, 3.8 itself is pretty good,
Try loosening your mem timings some more, drop your ram down to 1:1 try raising NB to 1.5, and try raising your Vcore a bit more

do you have 800 mhz ram or 1000? if you have 800 you should losen them up abit and try to go higher.

he has 800mhz, if the divider is 1.2 and its at 958, than it has to be 800

Temps are not a problem with the wolfdales. It's the voltage itself.

Are you able to replace the CPU easily? If so, then up the voltage as much as you want. If not, I would stay below 1.36V.

not really at the moment, im getting married in 3 months so all my money goes there. i may just try lossening the timing and upping the n/b dont want to give the cpu any more volts, id say if volts were no question id get this stable at 4ghz but it would be nearing 1.45 volts ha. and it wouldnt last that long at that id say ha.
for some odd reason i dont have a 1.1 timing option its either 1.2 or auto i know odd. and when its on auto it wont post ha.
so 1.2 is what it stays at lol.
so what do you guys recommend for mem timings.

Anything above 1.37 *WILL* kill his cpu. Or it will at least make it need more juice after a few weeks, which will eventually lead it to a non overclockable chip.
