BW, CW is supposed to have problems with color saturation. I am considering the BW myself, but I might not get it due to samsung's "panel lottery"

is that why they have new models? BW is the original/best and the others are named according to panel type. i,e, bw cw and others?

Interesting I read an article about a month ago saying that they took over all manufacturing again.

I do not care, though, because I have a samsung panel.

I would go for the CW, i compared both next to each other in the store, and the colors of the CW was much better, much brighter.

The 226BW was manufactured by Acer, Chimei, and Samsung. People swore the Acer was the worst and than the S Samsung panels were the best. X-bit labs did some testing and the conclusion was that each had it's own strength but yeah, acer was the worst overall...

The 226cw supposedly is all S panels but they just stopped labeling them to minimize the griping. Who knows if they really are.
