The 1 Billionth Q6600 temp question...

Thread Starter
I've been running F@H SMP (100% core usage) for about a month straight now stable at 3.00GHz, G0 stepping.

My core temps are c0-60 c1-57 c2-56 c3-59. That's not a problem, is it?

You are 12C below the safe temp, well within the clear.

However... 9C difference between the cores... I would reseat because it doesn't seem like the thermal paste was applied correctly, you did a line correct?

See edit. Try to get the core difference to <5C.

Keep a close eye on where the arrow on the processor is, the line has to go in a certain direction.

Sorry about that. The c0 was supposed to be 60C (since edited), I mistyped.

I followed that guide to the letter

Also, the screws on the HS were tightened evenly as much as I could.

You can probably lower that down quite a bit, or just overclock your processor more...

I'm at 3.25Ghz at 1.26v after droop (1.325v in bios), 12hr small FFT and blend stable.
