With 9x E8400 cpu, I think the boards selection comes down to which board is more user friendly at reasonable price. You mentioned DS3R, it is a good one. Abit IP35 Pro, Asus P5K or nice basic x38 board - Gigabyte X38-DS4.

The DFI P35 boards are also an excellent choice. Great for OCing too
