Here is what I just got my old 3000+ up to. It passed 12 hours of prime95 and haven't tryed to go any higher yet.

Bumped it up to 250*9 and its gone through about 30 minutes of prime95 like a champ. I wasn't able to get it over 235*9 but I replaced the ****ty thermal paste with AS5 and its running real nice now. with the stock cooler too. Vcore is at 1.38. Temps are about 50C at 100% load. This OC's way better than my x2 6400 BE.

OfficerMac, sounds like you still have plenty of OC'ing room. How is your memory at your 250TT * 9x overclock? Those temps look great. The clock speed of the 6400BE is already at the limits of the K8 tech so that would explain for the "not so high" overclock.

Jamy, the image that Navino posted was from Everest. You can download that application by going here: http://www.lavalys.com/products/over...&ps=UE&lang=en. You can also download CPU-Z. This application will also show the Core name of your processor.

Good luck guys

I hope to god you are referring to the bus speed and not the overall chip speed....

OP: Venices can be a bit of a PITA to OC. Mine will go only 300mhz and then hits a wall. 2.7, and that's it...then again, I haven't thrown 2 volts at it either...not that I want to

As for your temps, as long as your mobo's safety shutoff is 65C you should be ok, but I wouldn't want to be running a Venice that close to shutoff for more than the hour it takes to figure out why it's running so hot...They tend to, um, die if allowed to run much above 70 for more than a few minutes. They don't like it at all.

Think3r.., I think i hav gone a bit more compared 2 'Officemac'. Down it goes my overclocked parameters :-

CPU Clock : 2506.7 MHz (stock : 1800 MHz, overclock: 39%)
CPU Multplr : 9x
CPU FSB : 278.5 MHz (stock : 200 MHz, overclock: 39%)
HTT : 278.5 x 4 = 1114.1 MHz
MemoryBus : 227.9 MHz , (333Mhz in BIOS)
DRAM:FSB Ratio : CPU/11

Memory Timings : 2.5-3-3-8 (CL-RCD-RP-RAS) , (CR=1T)

Regarding Voltage :-

CPU Voltage : 1.425V
DDR Voltage : 2.90V

Benchmarked by Torture testing with Prime95 for 8 hours & 30 mints Flawlessly.
Cpu temp stayed at max of 52' Degree. Never above that. May b i hav a good air flow inside my case

Jamy, do you need assistance on overclocking? Have you had a chance to read over any of the helpful overclocking guides? Here are a few that are very helpful:

http://www.overclock.net/amd-general...ing-guide.html
http://icrontic.com/articles/a64_overclocking_theory

Further more check out S939 club thread. There are several helpful individuals in there that specialize in just Socket 939(which is what your socket is): http://www.overclock.net/amd-general...-official.html

Let us know

Good luck

JamY, looking good

That is some decent memory you have there. Have you tried pushing it your processor overclock anymore? If you get close to 300HTT try giving the chipset more voltage, that should help you if you have any instability issues. Make sure you have sufficient cooling on your board to handle the new voltage changes.

Good luck
