Explorer keeps crashing

wassup peeps. when i open up windows explorer and i try to go into folders that contain videos it crashes explorer.exe and the explorer window. any ideas, i've only recently in the last few weeks did a format.

i'll try it. i do have the ACE Mega Codecs installed and that does include the xvid codecs.

its interesting that explorer crashes as it shouldnt really iirc when i havent had codecs installed before
