[Hard] 9600 GT in SLI Vs. 8800 GTX - Page 6

I was really unhappy this article didnt provide higher resolutions for Crysis, so I thought I would add this quick link of a review of 9600gt SLI versus some other cards...8800gtx/ultra, 3870x2, 8800gt sli.

I think it is funny that so many people are recommending this card instead of an 8800GT or GTS G92. It shows one of the reasons nvidia is selling so well: People will promote it due to its name rather than its performance.

Yes, SLI scales well, but nobody ever seems to think of the extra cost associated with it. You need a more expensive mobo and PSU. If you want to water cool them, it is twice the cash. Not to mention dealing with drivers and incompatibility issues. (although, those should become less and less) All everyone ever says is how it is only $175.

Granted, it seems like a decent mid-range card. But that is all it is, mid range. No wonder nvidia doesn't seem to care about the 9 series performance. All the sheep will still go out and buy them.
