I just went my local one and they had 7 of them, but at the $71.99 price. I'll check the other local one, but with 7 in stock they gotta drop sometime.

I checked tonight. Website says $119.99 with the option to pick up in the store.

Drove to the store and they had 1-2 at the $71.99 price.

Go figure. Unfortunately I already ordered a P182 before I got a chance to get to the BB in person.

I have a question though....there doesn't seem to be a lot of cooling for the Rocketfish case...it is mainly for people who are going to WC? I see one intake fan and one exhaust fan...hardly seems enough to cool in such a massive case.

I only ask because I have been plagued with high case temps my whole building career..thats why I am getting the P182..plenty of intake and exhaust fans.

I am surrounded by Best Buys (their corporate HQ is only a few miles away) and I have been contemplating buying this case but I can't get past the less-than-stellar cooling. I have most of a Swifty H2O kit laying around and would only justify this case (I LOVE my Stacker) as a modding/WC/keep me off the streets project.

Other great yet cheap air-cooling cases are the Antec 900 and CM690
post #204 of 320
yes, as an air-cooled rig this thing needs some work.

Higher CFM fans definitely help, a 3x5.25 conversion to hold a 120mm fan would help, realistically it is the downfall of the case, but one that can be handled quite easily. For 48 bucks it is cake.

Right when mine got some in stock they were $95. I might check to day to see if they have any. I want a case to mod and put water cooling in eventually so this case would be perfect for that.

I ended up doing the 3x5.25" drive thing with a 120mm fan it looks pretty sweet and I also put two 80mm fans where the top mount PSU would be.

How did you manage that? Did you make brackets for the top psu fans? I don't see any place to screw them...

Also, I didn't get the 120mm fan/drive bay adapter, I got the 80mm fan/drive bay adapter.. I plan on putting my two raptors in there it should cool them sufficiently, right?

To anyone interested, the Best Buy north of Grand Rapids on Alpine has at least one for $47.99. I got one, might put my main rig in there.

I went and checked them out. I have never seen in person the Lian Li case it rips off, but I know that Lian Li cases are solid. And most of the time there made of think aluminum. This Rocketfish case is plastic and cheap. That is the reason for the price difference.
