Noob question

Been thinking about an OC on my Q6600. I 've been running my machine a few months and it's time to play I am however slightly worried about temps. Currently, the BIOS reports 41C (core temp) on boot and under full load for 10 hours the temp goes up to 50C. I'm not sure if these numbers are good or not. Feedback please?

Keep it under 60c full load Prime or Orthos and you are fine.

Actually, I've been using Everest because I like the nice little widget they put on your Vista sidebar the temp readings I gave were the temp of the highest core. The other may have varied by 1 or 2 degrees.

I've got a rather nice copper Zalman HS and used arctic silver 5. Was wondering if I should reapply the thermal compound. <shrugs> If my temps are fine though, I won't bother. Thanks for the help.
