Help me translate this Phenom batch code...

Hey all, I think I'm about to go back to the dark side, just want to know if the chips my local e-tailer have are a good batch or whatever. Here's the numbers:

hd9500wcj4bgd
caazb aa 0748gpmw
1939409l70091

So I can see that it was manufactured the 48th week of 07, but is that good? Have they been getting better as far as overclocks go? And I presume it will still have the TLB errata?

Any thoughts appreciated

You're going from a q6600 to Phenom 9500? I mean even if the Phenom did not have that bug and it could overclock, wouldn't it still be worse?

.... as far as I know, that one would still have the TLB errata, but that's something most people would never see.... and I haven't really come across any info pointing to a particularly good batch or batches. Maybe some of the Phenom owners can weigh in on this.

Yip, things like superpi and 3dmark performance will suffer quite a bit, but I'm not concerned. I get more enjoyment out of tweaking a system to its limit, rather than the actual end result. I've had fun with my q6600 but now it's time to move on, so I'm going to play with a phenom until 45nm quaddies and X38/x48 boards drop in price (or maybe even AMD will come out with something decent ).

I should also mention that I got a 790FX board and two 3870s dirt cheap, so going from a Q6600 + 3850 to a 9500 + two 3870s should actually give me a better gaming experience overall I think.

I can also get batch "apaw", same manufacture week, so yeah if anyone knows the difference I'd be grateful to hear it.

LOL!

Sorry, i was just googling since I'm trying to find out how to find meh freaking batch numbers on my 9600 phenom, which is currently running at a 15% overclock, 2645MHz from stock of 2300MHz. I'll keep pushing bit by bit, and i've heard on other forums of people getting B2 revision Phenoms to 3.0GHz stable.

So in conclusion, sorry for digging up this old thread, but phenoms overclock.

Yip, Phenoms overclock....like ****.

Don't hold your hopes up for more than 2.8ghz stable. 9850BE seems to be the only chip consistently getting to 3.0ghz (and beyond).

I sold my Phenom less than a week after buying btw
