EVGA 6800 GT Dying?

Hey guys,

Well I've had this card for about 3 years now. I'm pretty sure its dying/dead. Right now I'm running windows fine.. but with no nVidia forceware drivers installed. I've tried about 5 different drivers and each one gives the same problem; After I restart it goes to the login page and just gives me this giant rainbow screen of death (artifacts). Unfortunately I am still on an AGP system and i can't afford to go Pci-e yet. I was looking for some insight on an appropriate fix for me. I do play quiet a bit of games.. but they are older. Mainly consisting of Counter-strike source and World of Warcraft. For now I'm just looking for a card that will run those two smoothly and at decent detail.

Current System Specs:
Asus A8V Deluxe mobo
AMD 64 3500 s939
1GB corsair Value Ram
Evga 6800 gt (most likely dead)
480W Psu

I Built the rig myself and had the CPU and Video card Overclocked stable for about 2 years. I took off the OC's to try and extend the lifetime of the products.

Cards that i was thinking of going with:
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1188558965302
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1177718060586
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1149206843568

I know i will be shunned for going with Best Buy.. but i really wanted the card today... And because it will be an out of date card i don't see a reason for going with the lovable Newegg

Thanks in advance

Thanks guys,

I think I'll go with that 7600gs. Should hold me over till I do a full system upgrade this summer.
Thanks again for the quick replies

Try your local Craiglist, I have seen 7800gs AGP for 100 to 120 on there.

Much better than the 7600gs

The Best Buy in BC is selling eVGA superclocked 7600GT's for $110 o_o (Is that bad?)

Anyway

Yeah just go with the 7600GS or whatever to tide you over until you can upgrade

OK GUYS GREAT NEWS.
Pulled some funds and found myself a $700-800 upgrade budget. I want to def go Intel C2D with a new Mobo, Cpu, Ram, and Video Card (PCI-E) of course. I do like to overclock but i want it rock stable. Now you can see my current PSU in my specs below. I will prolly need a new one.

What do you guys recommend, Newegg links plz!!
