I was the same way as you. I had a Dell Dimension 3000 P4 2.7Ghz, 512mb ddr, 17" CRT (remember, these are measured by monitor size, not screen size), and a Radeon 9250 that I spent a lot on a few years ago. I saved up for a while (I'm 15, no real job), and got an amazing rig for $800. You may want to do the same.

CRTFTW.

The Ultra-Budget Build:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813127031 (Great motherboard for $60 after MIR)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819116064 (Allendale Core for $58 - Core architecture and can OC well)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820146565 (Crucial Ballistix for $30 after MIR)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130287 (EVGA (IE - step up later if you like) 8500GT for $50 after MIR)

With these legacy components, even your Rosewill 480W should be more than adequate to the power needs of these components. You'll need an OS of course, but I hear you can get one free. Linux.
