Flash in 64 bit Linux

Thread Starter
How well does Flash work in 64 bit Linux? I know there is no real official support (or at least there wasn't last time I tried.) I just upgraded my system to whats in my sig and would like to take full advantage of it. I know Gnash finally got into Beta stage. How well does that work?

I will probably use Ubuntu for this just because I like the GUI with compiz.

Works most of the time, except on a few rare occasions where it would just not load. Like this site, which doesn't load completely for me. Some of the flash movies in Newgrounds will not load for me either (sucks because I love Newgrounds).

Thanks, guess I'll just have to try it. I will also miss Wine...

I wonder if I should just use 32 bit anyways..

You won't miss much by going 64bit, except Java (there is no 64bit Java yet). If anything, 64bit is faster, not by much, but the difference is there. All my native Linux games run faster in 64bit (the ones that have 64bit binaries at least).

I guess I'll go 64 bit. Downloading the new alpha now.

That site works fine for me. I was having problems at first with Flash in Arch 64, but i messed around with it and some Ubuntu nswrapperplugin and its working fine now. It always worked fine in Fedora 64 for me.

I wish they would just move Linux to 64-bit as mainstream already...
