Krunk Kracker has it in a nutshell - could be a teenager just starting to get really interested in building for himself, and modding. Could be a budget constraint. What is obvious is that the poster is proud of his accomplishment. That's just what it is, regardless of the specs, he built it himself, and that's more than most of the sheep out there can do. In re: to his specs, they don't look too too bad, I mean an 8600GT is fine if you play older games, or none at all, and it looked like he had pretty decent ram in there. I am fairly new to this forum, long time looker turned poster, and honestly, there are some raging ego's around here (I am not referring to anyone in this thread - I appreciate the fact that you gave him some sound advice). I mean, I like my rig, yes, it'll whoop the hell out of a lot of other rigs, but in the end, I built it to suit my needs, not so I could boost my ego. I see some nice rigs on here, and some *****boxes, in the end, we're all interested in the same stuff, and should be proud of what we accomplish, whether it's a 45nm Quad with 8GB ram and Tri-SLI, or a budget system worth half the cost of an 8800GTX. We should encourage fellow techies, not knock them down because their specs don't match up with what we think they should.
