I feel bad now... - Page 5

"Ultimate" is open to interpretation. That might be a huge upgrade from his last PC. If so, good for him. However, in the normal universe where "ultimate" means..."ultimate", it was far from it.

And I got a kick out of his Memory sticks being in DIMM slots 1 and 2. Hehe.

A mate has one and it benches less than my PC is SM3.0 in 3dmark06.
i never had a 1950 so i dont know, i had a overclocked 8600 xxx it was at like 750 core, it is good card, it cant possibly be bad cause its virtually same price as a 7600, if 8600 is bad then 7600 is bad as well
post #45 of 81
The 7600 is bad. If you get a GT and OC the hell out of it, then so be it, but the GS was boot dust.

Biftek, I'm don't know about that. I doubt any rig with a single video card and a single processor uses 600watts full load.

My motherboard requires that or slots 3 and 4 for 2 sticks.
Unless you're starting counting at 0, in which case I would lol too

No, the 7600 wasn't bad. It was probably the best selling card in 2006-2007. It smoked the 8600 in terms of price/performance. Get your facts right.

In re: to his specs, they don't look too too bad, I mean an 8600GT is fine if you play older games, or none at all, and it looked like he had pretty decent ram in there. I am fairly new to this forum, long time looker turned poster, and honestly, there are some raging ego's around here (I am not referring to anyone in this thread - I appreciate the fact that you gave him some sound advice). I mean, I like my rig, yes, it'll whoop the hell out of a lot of other rigs, but in the end, I built it to suit my needs, not so I could boost my ego. I see some nice rigs on here, and some *****boxes, in the end, we're all interested in the same stuff, and should be proud of what we accomplish, whether it's a 45nm Quad with 8GB ram and Tri-SLI, or a budget system worth half the cost of an 8800GTX. We should encourage fellow techies, not knock them down because their specs don't match up with what we think they should.
Best post in this thread, for sure.

Words to live by, guys..?
