Thread Starter
Hey guys... Im gonna sell me old components and upgrade me thinks to something a bit newer a bit faster a bit more sexy.

I have listed my parts and looked myself at prices but what do you lot think?

E6400 - £40 Inc Delivery
Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3 - £35 Inc Delivery
xFx 6800GT - £25 Inc Delivery

Will be more stuff but Im in Norfolk and my PC and all my extra bits are in Hampshire 4hours drive away. So are they priced ok?

EDIT: Also is it worth selling my mobo as I plan to use a Q6600 and BFG 8800GT?

EDIT2: For Sale Thread

Yea nice prices

I would personaly stick to your current motherboard & get a better CPU.

Your board can support nearly anything up to the meaty Core 2 Extreme, depends on your motherboards revision as there is Rev 1.0, 2.0 & 3.3.

Look Here for CPU compatability

My board is Rev 2.0

My plan is to upgrade to this...

Q6600
Crucial Ballistix 2x1GB 8500C5
BFG 8800GT OC2 512MB or PowerColor HD 3870 XT Extreme 512MB
Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme
New PSU
More HDD Space
New monitor 22" LCD

Total upgrade is gonna be £690.76 nVidia or £667.26 ATi

Looks good!

Only thing your motherboard doesn't support is the 1066Mhz Crucial Ram.
So if it's what you really want spend the extra on the new motherboard.

Or you could just get some high quality DDR800 ram & get overclocking.

Your choice really

Can always use the RAM I already have or I could just get 4GB of DDR2 800.
Gonna be using Vista.

EDIT: For Sale Link Coming soon

I recommend selling the ram instead of the mainboard & get yourself something like the OCZ ReaperX HPC or the OCZ Reaper HPC

Remember that XP & Vista 32bit only recognise up to 3GB so you will need a 64bit version to run all 4GB
