Alright - so far I have reached a prime stable overclock of 3.4GHz which I'm pleased with given this is my first build and overclocking experience! The board has no problem running my g.skill at 1066MHz+ which is sweet given that the board officially only supports up to 800MHz...
One question I have to anyone who has played with this board is - I haven't really increased the Northbridge or southbridge voltages much so what is the maximum I should put these voltages to for extra o/c stability?
Haswell fun.

If you are stable with no bumps in NB and SB voltages, by all means, stay with that.
It is stable up to 3.4GHz with no NB or SB voltage increase, but above 3.4GHz is not yet stable although the temps are alright. I really have no idea what the max NB and SB voltages can be so I havent increased these... Could anyone give me some figures?
Haswell fun.

Well I found out my problems were with a bad board. I just got my rma board back this week and I am up to 3.4GHz now with less vcore than the other one required for 3.5. I was going to post a question on the dfi web but it appears that they forgot to pay their bill as you get an account suspeneded page when going to that forum. Does anyone here have mosfet sinks attached? If so are you cooling all of them or just some. I was also looking at removing the stock mosfet coolers that are on this board and replacing with copper sinks or should I just remove the thermal tape and replace with AC and keep the stock cooler.

Anybody know of a list of error codes from the lcd readout? Manual does not include them.....at least I didn't see them in a quick lookthrough

I bought a 3450 in order to flash the bios to use my 4870X2 (and for htpc later on). At first I got no display from the 3450.....took it out, put it back in, voila. So i went ahead and plugged in my flash drive to flash the bios. Set it to boot from my flash drive, restarted, now i am getting the C1 error on the readout. I'm not sure if the error code means the same as it did on my Abit IP-35 Pro but C1 was a memory error on that board. Ended up being a problem with the video card on that board.

I have cleared the CMOS multiple times before I went to work and tried booting with different combinations of DIMM slots and 1 or 2 sticks in different slots. I ran out of time before I had to leave to try anything else. I am going to try taking the card out again when i get home from work to see if maybe its just a bad connection although I doubt it.

Anybody have any other ideas for me to try?

Yep, C1 and like...75...are the main things you will see apart from FF of course. C1 is memory, usually for me is just a matter of booting on 1 stick, upping the memory voltage, reloading with both sticks, voila.

Yea, i tried booting with just 1 stick this morning.....nothin, just stuck on the C1 like before. Not sure why it booted up fine and went into bios before that without any errors. I guess i will try a different stick of ram that is rated for lower voltage when i get home....maybe thats the issue. At least now I have all weekend to play with it....
