i found this review on OCIA(reputable?)
summary

Pros:

Pre-mod features such as side windows and multi-colored fan
UV reactive sleeving, connectors and heatshrink
25A on each of four +12v rails
Price is a steal

Cons:

Placement of voltage switch needs attention
Some people won't like the fact that it isn't modular

The Apevia Warlock 750 earns the OCIA.net Seal of Approval.

Why is it crap other than the fact that it's Apevia/Aspire?

First off, the UL says it's Wintech. That's not necessarily a bad thing if it were a lower wattage unit, but it claims to be a 750W. Note it has a voltage switch. That means it doesn't have power factor correction. Something that's EASILY implemented into today's SMPS topology. Soi that means it's probably an old design.

Hmmm... It doesn't have APFC, yet it's supposedly a 750W? So it's probably inefficienct, and probably doesn't even do 750W. If it does, it's at room temperature. Aspire/Apevia is known for shen. This just looks like another one. I wouldn't pay more than $60 for that PSU.

Remember: The Ultra X2 750W is also Wintech non-PFC based and it didn't do too well at HardOCP: http://hardocp.com/article.html?art=...hlbnRodXNpYXN0
