neh. my quads fine on that. its all about the case and airflow really on this budget. on a budget of £500 you dont wanna be splashing out on a cooler which will cost you £50 i can get my q6600 to 2.8ghz overclock without it getting higher than 50oC on load.

if you wanna do some serious overclcoking go for a Thermaltake ultra extreme. these q6600 G0 run fine with a stock cooler so long as you dont go crazy with an overclcok

at 2.4ghz my cpu never gets above 35oc on load, but its in an aluminium case with 4 extractor fans on top, two on the back, one on the side and 1 on the front.

this may also help. if your gona overclcok.

http://www.microdirect.co.uk/(15239)...r-CLC0034.aspx

spend less on parts such as cpu cooler, and unessesary bits and bobs and get an extra gpu and you wont be sorry

rite does every1 agree what i suggested will be good enough for Danny since hes not gona be doing major overclocking?

get that extra gpu with the money you save.

my 650 gigabyte mobo's not as good as p35...as in it dont overclock as well but for £60 its cheap.

2 9600gt's and you shud be able to run crysis on 1028*768 wid most settings on high and possibly Anti-analysig at around 30-40fps. games like call of duty 4 which are also very demanding will run 70+ plus fps on those 9600gt sli's. one card will handle both those games.

well a im getting a psu too, i might as well get a dvd/rw and a hd, so i have a new computer lol, i can keep this one for watching films listening to music etc..

so could you recommend a good dvd/rw and hd relatively cheap.

Thanks

also what psu shall i get?
stick with a western digital. so long as the hard drives 7200rpm and 8mb cache its fine. make sure its SATA.

that corsair psu i suggested is great. ask sum1 else about the dvd/rw. i think there pretty much all the same

The Freezer 7 will not be fine for a quad if you are overclocking it. 2.8GHz can be done on stock vcore, so you could use the factory cooler for that. Try getting the Q6600 agbove 3.2GHz with a Freezer 7. I'm just warning you now about the Freezer 7 Pro. Just remember, the CPU cooler is one of the most important components.

The Tuniq 120 doesnt need a fan, but the Thermalright does. I would recommend a Silverstone 120 with a fan controller.
