thats cool. i have never noticed my HDDs to be loud though.

I enjoy the sound of Raptors in RAID doing Virus scans early in the morning...it makes me HAWT

It only needs a few MM. The principal is to stop the vibration before it gets to the case and is amplified. I'll be posting pics after I get my new drives installed.

It's all going in a Lian Li case, so any vibration is an issue.

My drives don't cause any problem. The only noise I hear is the noise that they make regardless of if they are in contact with any other rigid objects. My case is pretty well equipped as far as the HDD cage goes. I like the whole design of it.

My problem is, I don't think that will work in my case because I have the lock in drive bays.


I might be able to put it in the 5.25" bays, but compared to all the fans and the other things in my room, they are not very loud at all.
