Northbridge heatsink on DFI Expert

Hello all, i am about to install a low profile copper heatsink on my DFI Expert, my question is, do i have to remove the mb out of the case to remove the stock hs/fan?

Probably. Usually, you need to pinch the pins together and push them through from the bottom.

Mite as well lapp it befor you put it in and dont forget the AS5.

Well just got it done! that was pretty painless. I used an enzotech cnb-s1l, that is very highly polished, no need to lap.
temps are 3-6 degress less!!

I might consider using that enzotech NB cooler sometime.

yes AS5. Man the stock stuff that came on the nb was hard as hell to remove. ended up using the back of a zip-tie to "scrape" it off!! anyone familiar with the enzotech on the DFI? it doesnt fit "square" and the plastic tabs seem to be spreading apart from one another. not out of the board, almos as if the enzotech is too small
