have you tried just upping the multi. a lot of people have been getting 3.2 at around 1.4vcore doing nothing but upping the multiplier.

also try upping your nb-sb voltage a notch. you shouldn't need 1.55v at that oc and you shouldn't hit anywhere over 50c even with that voltage on the zalman cooler

well I tired tfrc=3, Max async=8ns, a few diff trc's, 4-4-4-12, a lil mobo voltage,
nothing helped still only lasted 36 mins on Orthos Blend (priority 9)

tried it, tried it, tried it.....i always error in orthos on core one er core zero...no matter HOW i try to get 3.2 i gotta crank the vcore to 1.5 which puts my temps at 60-61C...36 mins later or less it crashes...most of the time its a FATAL ERROR: rounding was 0.5, expected less than 0,4. first and foremost ghot, the error you're getting pertains mainly to memory. usally a little more voltage will do it. this is what i want you to try when you get a chance. is the memory you own epp? i haven't read every one of your many posts, just some of them. if it is i want you to go into your mem settings and set everything to auto or just load setup defaults for it. once that's done i want you to go to the voltage settings in the bios and change the mem voltage to 2.35-this is pushing it but my corsairs work just fine here. then there is a tab int he bios for epp settings, i want you to set it to optimal and then change the setting just below it to cpu max % oc and leave the mem alone from there. the next thing i want you to do is to set your fsb to 250 and your cpu multi to 12. up the vcore to 1.5 no more no less. change your htt link to 4x, leave the mcp-spp(nb-sb) link at 5x it has no effect on oc. set the nb voltage to 1.4, sb to 1.5, cp-htt to about 1.475.


boot into windows run a stress test and tell me what happens.

btw check the black editon club and you'll see what the m2n32 can do, i posted 3.5 at 291x12 with my ddr2 1150 at 1160Mhz 5,5,5,12 2t and all the settings are on auto, so trust me it's worth a shot.

Ty Exodus but theres a few problems with your recommendations
1. I dont have EPP memory or an EPP setting in BIOS
2. I'm currently running 3.0ghz rock stable with just CPU multi @15x and 1.35vcore
3. I dont have a CPU max % OC or anything that remotely sounds like that
4. I have this RAM: TWIN2X2048-6400C4DHX you will surely notice it doesn't go anywhere near 1150.

Altho I will try the higher chipset voltages though So far i've only upped them to
CPU<>NB HT=1.25......NB<>SB HT=1.35......then i only have left...NB<>PCIE, SB<>PCIE
and SB STBY Voltage. Ive set the NB<>PCIE=1.25 and the SB<>STBY=1.7

I think your right in a way though...I should have gotten PC 8500 Ram



...and I've only got about 60 posts in the Black Edition club so far

here's 3ghz stable...all stock settings cept 15x multiplier and I added .05 vcore.
Also, I ran this with Norton AV w/auto protect ON, Zonealarm running, and online in Diablo II chatting...I'd call that a stable 3ghz



I did notice that after the first 15mins or so...that Core 0 always passed its test about 45 seconds AFTER Core 1 had already passed. So I think my above 3ghz problems are caused either by a bunk CPU Core 0, OR the fact that this apartment I live in was built in 1908 and has original wiring. I mean when I nuke a cup of coffee, the kitchen light dims for a sec when I first turn on the microwave. My surge protector IS plugged into a socket on far side of room, about 12 feet away from comp, and nothing else is plugged in there and its NOT on the same circuit as the kitchen, where all the high wattage things are.

Tonight, I'll try the same settings as the 1st post in this thread with higher chipset voltages...if that doesn't pass stress test...then it never will...because I had THAT test running at 1.55 vcore...anything less it only lasted a minute or two I don't know how Orthos is coded, but a 45 second delay between when Core 1 passes and Core 0 passes seems kinda wonky to me.

P.S. This Orthos run is on the above CPU-Z settings. The AMD monitor showed both cores at 100% the whole time....but i had to hit STOP to take screenshot...I took screenshot fast as I could but computer was faster...lol ....btw I have run orthos blend priority 9 overnight with no background things running at this setting...but back then I didn't know that I couldn't take screenshot with orthos running :/ Oh and I also ran memtest+ latest version for over 3 hours on these settings too.

This is why I keep asking what other ppls CPU numbers are...........I think I got a bunk 5000 ! At this site the only Overclock that came up for my CPU numbers was one guy and he used 1.59 vcore which I dont even have...mine only goes to 1.5625 in BIOS.

Lotsa ppl have .....ADO5000IAA5DS but only that one post at amdgeeks has the ...NAA9G part.
The original THG article has an AAA9G and most of the ppl Ive seen with the high OC's have the CAA9G maybe I just got a bad draw...I called AMD level two tech support and even they don't know what the NAA9G stands for....they conferring with the engineers and promised to email me the answer.

This is what i found out at AMDgeeks website......ADO5000IAA5DS = tray number
NAA9G = core..........0746 = week...........DPOW = sub stepping.....and DS = revision

I asked the lvl 2 tech at AMD what "core" meant and thats what he gonna email to me.
