I mean hell, he'll be able to play Crysis easy with Tri-SLI, processor.. he'll never notice the difference. just get a TT 120 and OC it to around 3.4GHz or so, and wha la!

actually, a good idea to boost performance, should run some Raptors in a raid array.
For case, id go with one of these

Seconded. This kid is paying an insane premium. I think you should let CD do at least the case.

Perhaps a pimp WC setup...I wish I had the cash to let CD gracefully hook me up.

I am sad that the world's biggest poser will have such a screamin' rig. I have to work like a dog, and I'm still using a 975X chipset, lol.

Anyway - here is the nicest poser case I could think of. I think it has a red light kit.

Most definitely XD. But what is this 40 bucks an hour? I was just gonna charge 1000 up front...

Just not ready to go water cooling. Since this is my "big break" in a way, I'd rather keep everything out of the reach of something bad XD. If the case springs a leak, the dude will come running back to me wanting me to fix it with my own money.

Yeah, I left the PSU out for suggestions. 1.2k watt should be plenty.

HAHAHA forgot about that. I threw this together in about 5 minutes after I finished my homework, so no flak for all the errors in the build everyone

This brings us here . CD, I would absolutely love to get a custom case from you, believe me I would.... the problem is, I'm not sure if the kid is even going to buy from me, so I don't want to get your hopes up too early. In the meantime though, I am thinking about the Cosmos-S. Definitely Alienware-esque... the spoiled little brat wants his fun-fun.

heh, if you throw 3 GTX won't you need like a 1,200 Watt PSU?
Spoiled brat, indeed. I'm not arguing with him though.

edit- on that note, you would make 100$ per gtx... building a dream machine, getting paid, and getting something like custom water cooling or a new 24" lcd seems nice.

On that end, if this is against TOS please tell me and i'll promptly remove it.
Can't go for the water cooling, but thanks for the other words

Yeah, you only can. as stated above, I threw this together in five minutes and got in on OCN as soon as possible, so there are bound to be some errors in the build. I'm definitely considering a 30" screen now.

How much are the Apple cinema displays? If they are still 2,500 or something, then I'll just go the dell route... Although there will have to be some creative modding involved, as the customer definitely believes that Dells are the devil... (at least he's got something right in the computer industry )

I am really not saying this because I have one, but because they are the nut. You should save some loot, and get a Xeon X3220. It's the same as a Q6600, but with a higher thermal spec, so you can clock the hell out of it, and it runs stable as a stone. Not to mention, they are somewhat rare to see around, so he'll get a kick out of being able to show off the case badge, and you'll get a kick out of pocketing $800.00.
