Oh and

Did you just not think that perhaps his parents have a lot of money through working hard and doing well at their job?

You seem intensly jealous of what he has at his age, and thinking of what you didnt

Not every rich person just gets their money from nowhere ya know...

The kid didn't work for it though. I never said anything bad about him, but what makes you think the kid deserves it?

Nobody who has that much money is going to want a Lian Li. Save the money (or not) and get a crazy flashy case that grabs attention. NZXT has a few that are pretty nice looking. My Aerocool also does the job nicely

My ideas:

1) For HD consider 4 raid 0 WD6400AAKS (Out performing raptors on transfer speeds and only slighter slower access times). New WD 320 GB per platter tech.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822136218

2) For the case, give him some good options from the decent quality cases that will fit your spec. The new Lian Li PC-P80 sounds like it could be up his street, the V2000 might even be too understated and not enough bling

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811112159

3) Is he adamant on the triple monitor set up? If not why not a decent 26" + monitor (new samsung 26" (2693HM i think) or the older SM 275T or one of the decent 30" ?)

2693HM:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...264&Tpk=2693hm

4) 2 x 2GB instead of 4 x 1GB sure is a better idea. Maybe even 8GB of ram if you want to be in keeping with the killerl spec.

Other than that seems fine and if you do start to push the budget of course cut out on of the gfx cards 1st id say. Would be interesting to see what you end up with and what PSU you need to run it.

Get a lian li and ship it off to get powder coated in a silver metal flake! Then fill it with UV stuff and make it looks crazy.

HAHAH! i was gonna say u cant use a\\ sound card with 3 sli, and on my XFX 780i, u cant with 2 either!
I'd drop the monitors too...

get him 2 1TB drives and RAID them, that'll be a nice waste.

get 4X1GB, tell him its 8GB and keep a set for yourself? only fair, right?

dunno about U.S dollars value much, but would maybe 300-400 dollars for buildin it be alright? also give it to him without any OS or crap installed on it, see how far he gets and then charge him another 200 dollars for installation ....then like 500 for OCing later on.....
