Need some help

OK iam going to build a system im getting a q6600 an evga 780i and corsair dominator ddr2 1066 2x2gb ram...
I have been reading about overclocking but am a little confused and have never done it myself i want my cpu at 3.0ghz and want my ram to stay at 1066 so what should i put my FSB voltage multiplier and all that stuff at

FSB voltage multiplier? I think you mean strap.

To run your memory at 1066 it needs a freq of 533 double data rate).
To run your Q6600 at 3GHz, one combination of multi fsb would be a 9multi with a fsb of 333 for a quad pumped fsb speed of 1332.

So a ratio of 333:533 or about 2:3.
Mobos set this ratio in different ways, so until you list your mobo, can't give you specific instructions to achieve the oc you're looking for.
