WD has a program at their website that does this quite well. Let me find it here...

Maxtor used to have a utility that came with their retail drives to do this when you bought a drive to upgrade an existing one. I don't know if other vendors do or not. You might check the MFG website.

Also, if you own a ghosting product, you might be able to do it. But I'm not sure they will let you ghost from one and restore to another.

Does that work like ghost? basically creating an image from one to the other? I am planning on backing up my RAID drives on my new 500gb (when it comes) Could I use that to move it?

(sorry to hijack)

Can you do this from a single drive to a RAID array?

I doubt it, since raid requires drivers and such, the program doesn't let you select such options. Or at least... last time I used it... But I highly doubt they integrated RAID possibilities in it.
