Foxconn DC Brushless Fan model pv983de1

Thread Starter
I hope you can help. I don't understand much about overclocking and to be honest this question isn't really to do with that, it is to do with the noise my base unit is making! Basically the sound of the fan is very loud (at least that is what it sounds like). I have looked and it seems to be the fan with this information written on it: Foxconn DC Brushless Fan model pv983de1

My questions is whether or not this fan can be replaced? What should I replace it with to get a quieter base unit? Come to think of it - is there another fan in there that might be giving me this problem?

Many thanks in advance for any response you are able to give.

If this is the fan you're talking about, you could replace it pretty much with any 92mm fan. Example
