Tuniq is horrible - Page 9

Its the airflow in this stupid case....it has NONE! All the fan spots are maxed out with the highest CFM fans I could get. Doesn't matter if the case has extremely restrictive mesh over them though. That and the Zalman 9500 is notorious for being a horrible cooler at such a high price. I really shoulda been part of OCN when I put this thing together, lol. I'd have an e6300 and an 8800GTS 320MB if I woulda been here, lol. Spent $2k on it back in March of last year...with a $179 7600GT and an X2 3800+ Manny that got to a whopping 2.5GHz.

In all honesty.....I think I'm going to have to start looking for a bolt down BT or a Gemeni or something else that blows down at the mobo. My fiance's rig loads at 65*C with her BT at 1.50v...with the same X2 that loaded at 83*C in my rig with my Zalman (she also has the same case). And in my rig, that chip was at 1.35v (stock). So yeah....its the airflow....not the seating of the cooler, lol. I've gone through 2 complete tubes of Shin Etsu trying to get this sucker seated right, lol.
damn... maybe you should look into getting a new case rather than a new heatsink lol, I never really liked Apevia's cases, I considered getting one when I was building this comp because they were cheap, but the shine of the p180 got to me

guess I made the right decision? lol

no offense but ?

at 3ghz/1.3v I get higher temps- and I know the gemini II isn't very good.

On behalf of OCN, we hope your screws do touch your case, and short your computer out. Maybe you will be forced to write things by hand and learn how to form proper sentences.

My tuniq is great, don't know why you'd be having so much trouble. Hope you get it sorted out though.

you don't see a significant improvement at idle, its when stressed the better coolers truly shine

Here is my TT120 and my E6400 @ 3.2 after folding for weeks (folding 100% both cpus)

the tuniq is no where near bad. In fact its a pretty kick as cooler.

1.425v @ 3.6ghz with 44c load is pretty damn amazing in my book.
