The Dreaded ATIKMDAG Failure

Ok so i've tried all the hotfixes, that are so posed to fix the problem, yea they don't. So i Visiontek, and the guy informs me they've never herd of this problem (of course while he's telling me this i'm on the visiontek forum reading all the people that have had this problem) so after 10mins of me confirming i've done all this reinstalled and uninstalled this that and the other, they refer me to ATI.

Called ATI, mention the error and within 30 seconds they say its a problem with the Chipset and told me i need to update the chipset. Granted thats one thing i havent done yet... But does this actually sound like a solution?lol

It seems like from what i've read from other forums and on this forums that the only resolution is to uninstall vista and go back to xp.

I actually noticed once I kept the card(s) cooler, the problem went away.

From what I know, this is just like the 'nvlddklm' (I can't believe I remember that) error with Nvidia cards. I had quite a bout with it in the past and it turned out to be some instability in my overclock. We have somewhat similar systems and I have yet to be confronted with the error.
