Cleaning a Rad

I wanna clean the outside of my Rad, Its got alot of old sh-t on it.

Could i use CLR and Water, And let the rad soak in it, Then rince it in distilled water?

Brush it off with a paintbrush? As long as its not open when u wash it in water you could do that. Just make sure you dry it properly to avoid any rust.

if the inside is clean I would fill it with distilled and plug the holes.....then soak it in whatever....how bad is the outside?

Its got white stains.
I bought it from another person, He says its White vinigar stains.
From him cleaning it.

If there are no fans attached, I say seal it, and dunk it in CLR. That should probably work.

As for cleaning the inside piping, I think a distilled water/20% white vinegar solution is recommended? Would need a confirm on that though.
