I'd go with a Mini-ITX board designed for car usage. You are going to want to use laptop HDD's as well, since they hold up better to shock.
Well we're hoping that removing the passenger side airbag with give just enough extra room to put either a ATX or Micro-ATX... Mini-ITX just doesn't give the performance we're looking for, we could just buy a premade one if we wanted that... If all else fails we'll have to resort to that though...

You're gonna need about 1/2 to 3/4 of a cubic foot of room, and in basically a cube shape. I don't know enough about the Supra's interior to be a better judge than you, but I do know that airbags don't take up that much room.

Be sure to post a build log, this sounds like a really cool project.

The last US spec Supras ran in 1998. So... there is most likely no warranty.

Dude I am soo looking forward to this... I've been wanting to do something similar when I drop a KA24DE in my truck.

To be honest I don't really know how big an airbag is, that's Pat and Adam's area of expertise... I don't remember if I said this before but the other 3 people doing this project are students at a school I work at (and graduated from a few months ago)... It makes meetings extremely easy... They're in advisory right now but come class time hopefully they'll be down here... I know they'll be down here after lunch though...

Before we purchase and assemble the PC we are likely going to take the measurements of what the PC will be and build a moc-box to see if we can fit it in there... Wouldn't want to but parts and have them not fit...

The micro-ATX build would be 9.6"x8.6"x4.5"...

His is a '95 4th generation Supra... He's already done enough to it to rape his warranty if it was still active... Safety isn't really Pat's biggest concern, sadly.

Somehow the older ones are more rare and more expensive lol... Nice car he's got. I personally rode in a MkIV... How I wish I was in the drivers seat.

Wow, nice site. They have all kinds of cool car/computer stuff. I may buy one of these touchscreens for my HTPC project I'm doing. That is super cheap. Nice find.

Also, I can't wait to see how this on comes out. Good luck chrisinajar.
