i still think it would be smart for you to grab some higher end memory, caqn that 667 mhz stuff you have oc at all?

or are you not planning to oc? because you will not get great performance form that type of processor running so low

yea, thats next on my list, a nice, big, monitor. But thats not really in my budget as of just yet. I have a couple older CRT's (lol) laying around that I can use for now. I was thinking something like this in terms of a monitor. Fast 2ms, 1080p support, 24inch...idk, i'm not at the monitor stage just yet

Uh...that's a 650i board. As in Nvidia nForce 650i.

The E6750 is a FAR better deal when compared to the E6550. As mentioned, the x8 multiplier of the 6750 is where it wins over the x7 of the 6550.

SLi is a mixed bag of goods. For some a cheap way to increase performance if they already own an Nvidia card but again this ties you to an Nvidia chipset which isn't nearly as good as an Intel version IMO.

For PCIe 2.0 and 45nm support, grab an X38 board like the P5E.

Yea, you can OC with it, but not to much. My old jetway (which originaly cost over $100 when I bought it) only supports 667 RAM. And i bought it when I was still fairly new to computers, and didn't know that you could buy higher speed memory and still use it... Once again, i'm on a budget, and not the biggest one... I don't plan to keep the RAM forever lmao, it's just temporary

SLi is not a good upgrade path unless you are gaming at very high resolutions with two high-end cards. I would stick with a P35 and 8800GTS G92.

I would have to wait another paycheck or so, but MNiceguy suggested a X38 board, so if I were to get one, something like this i was thinking [link]
