It would be, except for the fact most people don't use PC's for gaming - and gaming is not the reason why MS sells so many copies of Windows.

???

Then its not an application that can play windows games.

Linux needs to do DX9 at the least or every game dev needs to crank out their game for OpenGL because if I'm not mistaken thats the only problem.

Or hell, be like CCP with EVE-Online and make it for Windows/Mac/Linux

So sad
prob, not since they maybe are hyped cuz they can play windows version of Touhou 7^^
Btw watch your PM list, cuz it's impossible to send to you....

If there is only one thing I have learnt playing around with Linux in the last year it is that "Linux isn't Windows"... it doesn't try to be and doesn't want to be and who know what the future of computing will be but currently you are limited to the games and other apps you can run with Linux... often their are apps as good or even better native to Linux but not always...

I have fiddled with Linux and I am currently on Vista... and I am happy with Vista... actually damn impressed so far with it... does that mean I've sold out... No! When and if Linux one day fulfills my needs I will use it. But that day has not come yet... and maybe apps like this will bring that day closer/sooner...

It would be quite foolish to say that Linux is a POS.....I mean my job relies on it's productivity.
Yes, it's a much more reliable OS than anything Microsoft has put out. I prefer Vista X64 slightly, but Ubuntu is an essential part of my everyday life. I wouldn't be able to function half as well in classes without the functionality it provides.

Not to mention the server I have.....

Wine really isn't that hard to configure if you've ever done anything relatively complex on Linux/Unix, and the performance drops are not that incredible. If you like, I could do some COD4 benchies tonight (or maybe tomorrow, I need sleep) and compare Wine vs Vista X64...

Yep, lots of people will probably find this handy. What keeps Windows going strong is the abundance of quality programs with intuitive interfaces.

If this program can manage point/click installation/configuration of games, more people will try out Wine for sure!
Yup Yup!

It depends - for what? For normal day-to-day use, I'm sure most people would say windows is more reliable. For servers, Linux/UNIX owns.
