The time in game moved so much faster than the sim did stuff that it took an unproportionately long time to do most common tasks. I remember it takes an hour to go to the bathroom...

Well some of us are REALLY thorough with being clean 'down there' and...

I completely understand what you're talking about, but if everything was time-correct the game would be a little boring and far too easy.

I can't decide if I want online play or not. The Sims Online was terrible and sometimes I yearn for a good single-player game like Oblivion.

I'd like to have multi-player sims my wife and son enjoy taking turns playing one family; it'd be neat if "I" could walk in and help myself to food in their fridge etc.
