Crashing? CD Drive? Roxio Media?

This computer sucks!

Dell Inspiron 1501 is having serious problems. It happens when I try and copy Image/Audio files to the CD drive (D: in this case) to make a data disc. Out of the blue this terrible program (Roxio) tries to copy the files to it for me and my computer freaks out and crashes. It just send CPU usage to 100% - ish .....then crashes

Anyone know what is causing this?

So far all I can think to do is uninstall Roxio (I don't ever use it)

thanks in advance

yea i would try uninstalling it. could be corrupt files or something of the nature... try a free trial of Nero and see if that works better.
